Patrol Tactics 24 Hour In-Service
Given a written and practical exam composed of vehicle contacts, person contacts and structural clearing. Participants will demonstrate the following skills:
- Threat recognition, prioritization and response
- High risk handcuffing
- Legal authority
- Contact and cover
- Equipment management
- Care after fire
- Angular evaluations on vertical edges
- Structures and vehicles
To register for the course, contact your Training Manager to assign the training to you via our Learning Management System (LMS).
Upcoming classes are listed below. Registration does not guarantee acceptance into the class. Selections will be completed four weeks prior to the class; those accepted into the class will receive a notification at that time.
Priority for the next three classes are being offered to those that need to complete IIT Certification.
All participants must not have any physical limitations.

Who can attend our classes?
This course is open to all Peace Officers certified in the State of Washington.Required Equipment
Sturdy shoes and duty belt.
Pre-Course work
Participants must read WAC 139-11.Dress Code
Visitors attending training at the WSCJTC are encouraged to wear their agency logo shirt/uniform or agency ID badge while on campus.
Visitors not wearing agency identification can attend classes in business casual attire. They will need to check in at the front desk and wear a clip-on visitor's identification card.

Schedule
Class hours are 0800-1700, Monday through Wednesday, with the exception of State and Federal Holidays.

Deadline to cancel is 14 days prior to class. Late cancellations are subject to fee.
