Advanced Interviewing for Investigators- Online

This two-day intensive interview training will equip detectives and investigators with information and strategies expected to elicit critical case details. Participants will learn about the criminal justice relevance of trauma and will also gain an understanding of the neurobiology of trauma as they increase their skills in conducting interviews through a trauma-informed lens.

This course incorporates a five-part interviewing model, and presentations on suspect, witness, and victim interviews. Students will practice interviewing techniques that include reality-based scenarios utilizing actors and facilitators to guide the interviewing techniques at the foundation of this course.

There will be approximately 2 hours of required pre-course material.  Each student will need to complete this work ahead of class.

The curriculum for this course is being re-worked.  More information on dates and registration will be coming soon.
