Pursuit Immobilization Technique (PIT) Instructor Training
This course is hosted by the Washington State Patrol.
The Washington State Patrol is sponsoring Pursuit Immobilization Technique (PIT) training for current Emergency Vehicle Operator Course Instructors. This course lasts six hours and is hosted at the Washington State Patrol Academy in Shelton, Washington on October 2, 2021 from 10am to 5pm (with an hour lunch break). Additional 2021 and 2022 dates will be announced if there is an interest.
This intense and challenging course is designed for officers to learn and teach the intricacies of conducting the PIT maneuver on vehicles with a stabilization platform. The student must be a current EVOC Instructor to attend the training. The course provides a PowerPoint presentation, practical exercises, and teach-back opportunities.
