Intermediate Police Officer

o Pay: $7,246.91 - $7,688.10/ month ($86,962.99 - $92,258.30/ year) o Pay increase after 6 months and then yearly on your anniversary date o Yearly COLAs o Specialty pay: 3% or 4% depending on specialty assignment o Educational Pay: Associate’s- 2%, Bachelor’s- 3%, Master’s- 3.5% o Longevity Pay: 5 years- 1.5%, 10 years- 2%, 15 years- 3%, 20 years- 4%, 25 years- 5% o City Monthly VEBA Contribution: $500 o Maximum medical, dental, vision contribution by the City: $1,591 o 13 paid holidays and 4 personal holidays o 10 hours of sick leave accrued every month o 8 hours of vacation accrued every month o $50,000 life insurance on us o Take home vehicles o $1,500 clothing allowance per year after your first year o Free membership to the Airway Heights Rec Center o Experience: Two years of sworn, non-military, patrol officer experience o Certifications: State-issued Basic Law Enforcement certificate o Status: Currently employed as a law enforcement officer or have left such employment in good standing (within 5 years) and have a valid law enforcement commission, at time of hire. Note: Applicants from states other than Washington must have the ability to obtain Basic or Equivalency Law Enforcement certification by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission, within the year probationary period.
