The substance use disorder program is excited to announce a new virtual training (in partnership with PEER WA), Course #8028 - How Co-Response with SUD Peers is changing the way police respond to challenging crisis calls.

This is a free course offered to Law Enforcement and Corrections personnel as a guide to Changing the way police respond to challenging crisis calls.

This 2-hour presentation will be conducted by Peer WA and will include a panel of three subject matter experts who have been engaged in co-response teams in Washington State. It will cover the following:

  1. Overview of Co-Response Models
  2. Importance of Peer Support in Co-Response
  3. Challenges and Considerations
  4. Next Steps and Action Planning Peer Washington cultivates powerful, healthy lives by providing peer emotional support and development services to disparately impacted communities throughout Washington state.
