Real World De-Escalation Instructor Course

This course is hosted by the DuPont Police Department.

De-Escalation skills are a tool, just like your handcuffs, flashlight, Taser and Firearm. Of these tools, you will likely be called upon to use your de-escalation abilities more than any other. As with anything on your duty belt, you need both training and practice to improve your competence. By becoming proficient in de-escalation skills, your fellow officers and the citizens you serve can rely on you to perform with a high level of effectiveness when it matters.
